So today we get the news that Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes is retiring from her position as Victoria’s Secret Angel—technically it’s been a done deal for two months but VS is just announcing it now. Aw, that’s too bad. But you know what’s good? Doutzen’s Dutch-ness. Being Dutch, being from Holland, being from the Netherlands, she is inevitably a more liberated sort. And when you’re an underwear model to begin with, “more liberated” really just means you get naked.
