It was a fine idea to do a Dick of the Week, our tribute to the late, great photographer Richard Avery. We made it three weeks before the idea fell by the wayside. Fail.

And we didn’t even get to the woman who inspired the idea! Darcie Dolce is sexy AF no matter who’s shooting her, but Dick Avery captured her essence like no one else. Not every model out there has what it takes to work with Avery — you need to be completely comfortable being raw and seductive but also vulnerable and pretty. And you’ll agree that Darcie runs the whole gamut here with no assistance at all. Shoes. A cigarette. A barstool. And nothing else. Just buck-naked, wide-open sexuality.

Richard Avery was 53 years old when he died in 2023. Damn, that is a bummer. But at least he left us amazing photos like these.
