People have opinions on former pro golfer Paige Spiranac. Like that she perhaps was making a mockery of the distinguished (boring) old Scottish sport by being the sexiest pro golfer ever. Like it was just a play to be a bikini influencer and she wasn’t even good enough to be a pro. Like by displaying her cleavage and shapely butt and toned legs and pretty face she was objectifying all female athletes and diminishing a sport that has been fighting for respect since before she was born.
What a bunch of bullcrap. Women’s golf is bigger than one player. The only thing true in the above statements is that she wasn’t good enough to make the LPGA — which she has admitted and joked about. Paige was a good college golfer, good enough to earn scholarships at the University of Arizona and San Diego State. Truth be told, Paige is just Paige, and she is a genius. She gives the people what they want. She’s not curing cancer or winning LPGA championships but guess what — most people are not doing those things. It’s safe to say that you, reader, are not doing those things. Maybe Paige is inspiring some small bit of interest in golf. Maybe she’s not. Maybe she is just inspiring interest in a scantily-clad busty blonde, a practice as old as time itself.
Back to the genius thing — you know, Paige could continue this charade of being a great golfer who just happens to look smokin’ hot in her low-cut tops. She could just post golf, golf, golf to her Instagram and pretend to be in it for the sport and whoops, also accidentally sexy AF. But what would be the point of that? That would be silly, even stupid. Paige may have gotten her initial boost as the sexy golfer but now she doesn’t need it. If she never posted another golf picture again she’d still be adored by 4 million+ fans. She could leave the golf shtick behind and just go full bikini babe and she’d be just fine.

Paige Spiranac knows the “sexy golfer” thing isn’t sustainable. The “sexy model” thing has legs for years. Clubs or no clubs, she’ll give the fans what they want, and blow her haters a saucy kiss, and that is genius. Well played, Paige. [Golf clap.]
